Interaction, pregnancy and allergy warnings
Record a known allergy in the allergy field on the patient record. At print, the medicines are checked against it, and a match warns like a major caution. Major interactions and pregnancy cautions also show when you print. These are warnings only and never block printing.
Dose and child weight checks on high-risk medicines
For a short list of about 20 high-risk medicines, UpcharHub runs a maximum daily dose check and a child weight check. On a breach, printing pauses until you tick "I have checked this".
Not AI — the doctor always decides
These checks are not AI. You decide what stays on the unsigned draft before you print and sign it.
Questions
Answered plainly.
Do the caution warnings stop me from printing?
Interaction, pregnancy and allergy warnings never block printing. Only a breach of the maximum daily dose or child weight check, on a short list of about 20 high-risk medicines, pauses printing until you tick "I have checked this".
Are these checks AI?
No. They are not AI, and the doctor always decides.
How does the allergy check work?
There is an allergy field on the patient. At print, the medicines are checked against it, and a match warns like a major caution.
Does UpcharHub create prescriptions or sell medicines?
No. UpcharHub is practice-management software for registered medical practitioners. It does not create or issue prescriptions for patients, and it does not sell, stock or dispense any medicine. A doctor writes up their own visit and prints an unsigned draft, which becomes a valid prescription only after that treating doctor signs it. No patient can sign up for UpcharHub or ask it for anything: the only things that ever reach a patient are a copy of what their own doctor wrote and chose to send them, and a reminder of the follow-up date that doctor set.
